The Interlaken Technology Indirect Tensile Tester (IDT) is a complete, self contained system for Resilient Modulus And Creep Compliance testing. The Creep Compliance data supports the Superpave pavement design methodology.
The Interlaken IDT is a servo hydraulic test system. The loading rate achievable in a servo hydraulic system makes it capable of performing Fatigue and Resilient Modulus testing in addition to the less dynamic IDT tests.

System Configuration

The Indirect Tensile Tester (IDT) includes these subsystems and components:

  • Indirect Tensile Fixture and Extensometry
  • Load Frame Assembly
  • Control and Data Acquisition System with Windows applications software
  • Hydraulic Power Supply
  • Environmental Subsystem

The Interlaken IDT system is a fully integrated, computer controlled, servo-hydraulic test system. The base unit is mounted on casters and contains the air cooled hydraulic power unit and service manifold, the load frame, the insulating hood and the interface electronics. This unit is cabled to a desktop PC which contains the control hardware and software. A stand alone environmental unit is ducted to provide heated and refrigerated air to the environmental chamber that is a part of the base unit.

Advantages

High performance servo-hydraulic for resilient modulus and creep compliance testing.

Computer control of loading, temperature and data acquisition.

Standard application programs for resilient modulus and creep compliance testing.
