Interlaken's computer controlled Test System meets the requirements of ASTM, AASHTO, and SHRP specifications for asphalt testing. A flexible, real time controller provides high precision control of forces, motions, and temperatures. Powerful user interface software provides real time monitoring and automatically records data for reports and further analysis.
Environmental Chamber
Interlaken's temperature control systems offer a wide temperature range of -40 °C to 150 °C to accurately perform asphalt property measurements. The chamber accommodates other fixtures in addition to the IDT Fixture and there is ample space for preconditioning of other specimens.

Biaxial Extensometer Set
These mount on the specimen faces and measure horizontal and vertical strains. They simplify and improve the accuracy of Creep Compliance and Low Temperature Strength testing. The unique magnetic mounting method means they snap on quickly with minimum disruption to temperature control. Since the units remain assembled, calibration can be easily checked at any time. Also, they provide improved data quality in the Resilient Modulus measurements by eliminating problems due to working and local deformation.

Determine the Fatigue Life of Compacted Hot-Mix Asphalt Subjected to Repeated Flexural Bending
Interlaken has pre-programmed application software based on the AASHTO T321-03 (TP8) test standard. A third party flex fatigue fixture can be integrated with Interlaken's system to run the flexural bending beam test.
